Will It Fit?

Will It Fit?

To ensure your delivery goes smoothly, please double-check that all access points in your home can accommodate your item. The following steps will guide you through how and what to measure.

It's also important to note that while your item may not fit head-on, angling it during transport can often help navigate through tighter spaces.

Homeware items

To ensure your homeware items, such as wall art, decor cushions, ornaments, and pet accessories, fit seamlessly into your space, it's important to take accurate measurements of your home’s access points. For larger items like framed wall art or decorative pieces, measure the width of doorways and hallways to ensure they can be easily moved into your home. For cushions and pet accessories, check the space in your living area to ensure they will complement your existing furniture. Always account for any fixtures or obstacles that might affect placement, such as light fittings, furniture, or handrails. By following these simple guidelines, you can confidently welcome your new homeware additions into your home.

Furniture

Please consider the following when purchasing furniture

Doors

  1. Identify the smallest door your item will need to pass through.
  2. Open the door as wide as possible and measure from the outer edge of the door to the inner edge of the doorframe.
  3. Always measure at the narrowest point.

Hallways

  1. Measure the width of your hallway at its narrowest point.
  2. Remember to account for any light fixtures or handrails that may affect the clearance.

Stairs/Landing

  1. Measure the width of your stairs at their narrowest point.
  2. Don’t forget to include handrails and light fixtures in your measurements.
  3. If there’s a landing, measure the width (A), depth (B), and height (C) of the space.
  4. If you have a bannister and need to lift your item over it, check that the distance between the bannister and the ceiling at the narrowest height is greater than the depth of your item.
